On May 8, 2025, the Deputy Inspector General-cum-Senior Superintendent of Police, Ranchi, received a confidential tip-off regarding illegal drug trade near Madhukam Khajuria Ground under Sukhdeonagar Police Station, Ranchi.
Acting on the information, a special raiding team was formed under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police (Urban), Ranchi, and the leadership of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kotwali.
During the operation, conducted near New Lions Club, Sukhdeonagar, the team successfully seized 0.90 grams of brown sugar and two mobile phones from the possession of the accused. One person has been arrested in connection with the case.
Further investigation is underway.
