Ranchi, December 15 
Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced a significant milestone for Jharkhand, stating that the state has become the first in the country to honor the struggles of its women by increasing their monthly pension from ₹1,000 to ₹2,500. 

Addressing the people, CM Soren paid tribute to Baba Dishom Guruji and countless other movement leaders whose sacrifices led to the formation of Jharkhand. He emphasized that the state has long faced developmental challenges but remains committed to uplifting all sections of society. 

“Together, we will work towards strengthening every community and advancing Jharkhand. This increase in pension is a step towards recognizing and supporting the contribution of women in our society,” said Soren. 

The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s dedication to inclusive growth and holistic development, ensuring progress for all with the blessings and support of the people. This initiative is seen as a landmark decision, symbolizing the state’s commitment to empowering women and addressing historical inequities.
