While the entire nation, including the ruling and opposition parties, stands united in praising the Indian Army’s bold response to the Pahalgam terror attack, jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MP Mahua Maji has raised objections to the naming of ‘Operation Sindoor’.

As per reports, Indian forces carried out pinpoint strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, reportedly killing over 90 terrorists in a midnight operation. The action has drawn praise from across the political spectrum — except from Mahua Maji, who expressed discomfort with the operation’s name.

She stated, “When the three armed forces were given the freedom to choose their targets and timing, Prime Minister Modi personally named it ‘Operation Sindoor’. That clearly involves some political messaging; the operation could have been named something else.”

Her remarks have sparked debate, even as most leaders continue to stand behind the armed forces’ action.
