Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy has urged the Jamshedpur Deputy Commissioner (DC) to take immediate steps to address the persistent traffic congestion in Mango. During a telephonic conversation with the DC, Roy emphasized the need for a serious and effective plan to resolve the issue. He warned that if the administration fails to revise the no-entry timings for heavy vehicles, citizens, along with him, might resort to blocking traffic themselves to highlight the problem.

The MLA expressed grave concern over the alarming traffic situation on Mango Bridge and identified nearly a dozen other locations across the city requiring better traffic management. He expressed hope that the district administration would implement a practical solution to ease congestion on Mango Bridge and Mango Chowk within a week.

Roy pointed out that despite raising the issue repeatedly over the past six months, no concrete action has been taken by the administration or the police. Although reports of a recent meeting between officials on the matter have surfaced, no tangible results have yet been seen.

The MLA firmly suggested revising the no-entry timings for heavy vehicles in Jamshedpur. He proposed a complete ban on the entry of heavy vehicles during the day. Heavy vehicles from Ranchi via Dobo and those from Seraikela should be permitted entry into the city only between midnight and 6 AM.

Roy stressed that addressing this issue is crucial for ensuring the convenience and safety of the public. He urged the administration to prioritize solutions to the traffic woes faced by the people of Jamshedpur.
