How to Make Delicious Besan Laddoo
Besan laddoo is a popular Indian sweet that’s both easy to prepare and delicious. Here’s the complete recipe for making mouth-watering besan laddoos:
Ingredients:
- Gram flour (besan) – 2 cups (fine)
- Ghee – 1 cup
- Powdered sugar – 1 cup
- Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashews) – 2-3 tablespoons (optional)
Method:
1. Roasting the Besan
- Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan on medium heat.
- Once the ghee is hot, add gram flour and roast on low to medium heat.
- Keep stirring the flour continuously to avoid burning, and roast until it turns golden and releases a nutty aroma, which takes about 15-20 minutes.
2. Let it Cool
- Once the besan is roasted well, remove it from heat and allow it to cool completely. Make sure it’s fully cooled before adding sugar.
3. Adding Sugar and Cardamom Powder
- Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to the cooled besan. Mix thoroughly to ensure an even blend.
- You may also add chopped nuts at this stage to make the laddoos even more delicious.
4. Shaping the Laddoos
- Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into round laddoos. Adjust the size as per your preference.
- If the mixture feels too dry to shape, add a little more ghee.
5. Serving and Storing
- Place the laddoos on a plate and let them set for a few minutes.
- Store them in an airtight container, and they’ll stay fresh for up to 2 weeks.
Now, your tasty besan laddoos are ready to be enjoyed!
